The best beach in Pelion! Beautiful, calm, and not touristy. Clear blue Aegean Sea. Instead of sand there are tiny colorful pebbles that don’t hurt your feet at all. It’s great to sit on the water’s edge and explore all the colorful stones.
Horefto is a large sandy beach with many facilities and conveniences for travellers to enjoy a calm and relaxing swim. Bathers looking for seclusion can walk a little further to the north where they can find a series of smaller scenic beaches. Situated near the village of Zagora it is a favourable summer spot for swimming and bathing excursions for the entire family.
One of the longest beaches of Pelion, Horefto is situated on its eastern coast and is actually the beach of Zagora village. This is a magnificent beach with fine white sand and deep blue sea. The setting of the beach is serene, allowing tourists the chance to unwind and have a relaxing swim.
Horefto is an organized beach and provides visitors with many facilities. Next to Horefto are also some smaller, scenic beaches that offer privacy and quietness.
We fell in love with this beach instantly! Large bay meaning even in high season it feels quiet. The rock formations give it a quirk and we loved the monks paradise beach bar. Only 2.50 euros to hire sun bed. Get there early if you want parking at the beach, otherwise be prepared to park on the roadside up the hill. Can get hectic but worth it!!
About 10min drive from Chorefto. At the end of the beach, there is a tavern where we had a good meal for a fair price. I would say when in Pelion, one must try this beach! Sand like white beads, that is why water is here pure and turquoise.
