Mourtia Beach Pelion: Mourtia (or Mourtias) is a lovely beach on the south eastern side of Pelion, very close to the villages of Lyri and Katigiorgis. Considered among the best beaches of Pelion, Mourtia is found on the side of the Aegean Sea and has crystal clear waters. The coast has few rocks and also parts with soft sand. There are no tourist facilities in the beach, like umbrellas, sun beds or taverns, but there are few accommodation options in the wider region. Mourtias is a small hamlet near to Liri (2km) with few permanent inhabitants. The beautiful and at the same time impressive beach of this hamlet, with the reddish rocks, scattered inside the sea (the locals called them Loumbarda), are a site that will capture and fascinate visitors.

the 7th International position for beautiful beaches. Mourtias is located on the south eastern coast of Pelion and has a magnificent red coloured rock landscape and crystal blue-green waters. This is an unorganized small bay, ideal for a relaxing swim and undisturbed sunbathing. The beach is sandy, but, at some parts, there are a few rocks that create spectacular formations. Mourtias is one of the best beaches of Pelion and it is easily accessed from the nearby villages of Lyri and Katigiorgis.
